Phoenix, our figurehead & matriarch, the essence of who & why we are. She remains a permanent resident due to her sensitivities & lives as natural a life as we can provide in a domesticated environment. She flourishes just being horse & we fully respect her choice to just be that. 

One of our founding four & possibly the worst case of neglect we have seen to date. Phoenix was never expected to survive due to the level of emaciation she suffered but she challenged everyones ideas! Phoenix was a warrior it turned out & battled every challenge she faced to become the pony she is today!

Dear sweet Rebel, the kindest & sweetest soul you could meet. He remains as a permanent resident due to his extreme sensitivities. He has flourished over the years & it has been a labour of love however, he will always be a work in progress but that's ok. He has learned to trust in his own time & we ask nothing more of him 

Another of our founding herd members, Rebel was a severely emaciated & inherently wild young colt. With the correct care & nurturing he soon found physical health however, it took many years to support his mental wellbeing & behavioural needs.

Skye remains in our permanent care. She is a beautiful, confident & bold mare who knows her own mind!  She has a number of health issues that are managed very carefully however, she lives a happy & settled life at HQ as long term companion to Rebel. 

Skye joined us in early 2015 with her mother Ruby. Both ponies were severely neglected with severe malnourishment & body condition. Sadly after finding sanctuary, Skye was orphaned & the terrified little foal she was soon learned to trust human folk & flourish

Today Panda is one of our permanent residents. She has a huge fan club! She struggles with some health issues which are likely linked to her early life however, she is a bold, courageous mare & an inspiration to all. 

Panda came in to our care during a large scale welfare operation on Bodmin Moor. She was emaciated, had internal & external parasites & severe skin issues. The malnourishment was so extreme that Panda initially needed help to stand & support her own tiny frame however, with time & the correct care she flourished.

After a few years in a home Squid (Syd) returned to our care & has continued to flourish within the sanctuary environment. For now he remains with us to continue building his confidence. He still suffers from locking stifle which is managed through his day to day care & environment
